Wath Methodist Chapel

We are part of the Pateley Bridge Methodist Circuit based in the heart of the Beautiful Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our church is just outside Pateley Bridge.

The hamlet of Wath is served by this small, architecturally unique, Grade 2 listed chapel: the chapel's five sides are all different lengths and it sits on the end of a terrace of cottages.

In recent years the Chapel has undergone extensive refurbishment and is a welcoming place to worship and visit.

The church is usually open during the day for quiet prayer and reflection. Many walkers passing by drop in and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, sign the visitor's book and perhaps leave a prayer on our prayer tree. You would be very welcome any time.

If you would like to know more about the Chapel please consider joining our friends group. Membership is free and you will receive an occasional newsletter. The more 'Friends' the Chapel has the more chance we have of preserving this unique place for future generations to enjoy. Please contact Friends Secretary John Hayton on 01423 714800.

Services are held at 6.30pm every fortnight from March-November and at 4pm from December-February.

For more information please contact us via Bernice Dingwall on 01423 711576.
