The parish of Dacre with Hartwith & Darley with Thornthwaite serves an area of mid-Nidderdale, part of the AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), loosley the area of the Dale between Menwith Hill and Brimham Rocks and surrounding moorland, villages and hamlets. Our 4 churches are Holy Trinity, Dacre Banks; Christ Church, Darley; St. Jude's, Hartwith & St Saviour's, Thornthwaite. See links on this website for details of the individual churches. For communication purposes if you find the closed group on Facebook for Christ Church, Darley and request membershipyou will be included in receiving regular posts. We are legally one united parish served by one PCC (Parochial Church Council), though each church has its own church council too. We also manage the cemetery at Thruscross where many burials were moved from the flooded village of West End, now below Thruscross reservoir. Our parish covers the area on the following map:
